ABOUT COLLEGE
The School of Nursing was established in May 1996 at Birnin Kudu town which is 47Km away from the State Headquarter (Dutse) and located along Kano-Maiduguri Road, It has so far graduated 22 sets of Nurses, while, School of Midwifery Birnin Kudu started operating in the year 2010, and has so far graduated 7 Sets of midwives.
The Schools were upgraded to Jigawa State College of Nursing and Midwifery in May 2012. The College was signed into law (State Law N0.7) by the-then Executive Governor Alh. (Dr) Sule Lamido. CON. In order to improve the Health Service deliver in the state, another School of Nursing was established at Hadejia town in October, 2017 under the same College, which is 164Km from the State capital (Dutse) by His Excellency The Executive Governor of Jigawa State Alh. Muhammad Badaru Abubakar mni.
The institution is accredited by Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) to run the following programs:
1. General Basic Nursing
2. General Basic Midwifery
3. Refresher Course
4. Post Basic Nursing
COLLEGE'S CAMPUS
The institution has a conducive learning facilities, sufficient equipments and safest hostel for both male and female students.
DATE OF COMMENCEMENT FOR SALE OF GENERAL BASIC MIDWIFERY PROGRAM FORM
Institution will commence sales of admission form for BASIC MIDWIFERY (SET 11) PROGRAM 2021/2022 academic session from Monday - 11th September, 2021 to 11th November, 2021.
ADMISSION REQUIRMENT
1. Minimum of 5 Credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in not more than two sittings in SSCE (WEAC or NECO).
